David

This year has been a fun year in baseball.

I really have not watched David play this year because I have been busy with the other kids.  He struck out a lot during the season so I worked with him everyday for a week before the end of season tournament.  The first day I started working with him he was difficult, which is why I never worked with him during the year.  By the end of  the week right before the tournament he figured out he was getting better and that I was only trying to help him so he was more receptive and wanted help.  He never struck out during the tournament and had some awesome hits.

He also really likes his friends on the team.

The  Tournament was 6/14/2016 through 6/17/2016.

                                  David's Team won the tournament.

David was already good friends with Thurber (from Eric's team last year and this year) and Curtis from the neighborhood.  On Thursday David and Evan spent the whole day swimming together in his pool.

Cardinals

Eric and Lisa are both playing on the on the Cardinals this year.  Coach Burt is awesome with the kids.  This team had great chemistry, or maybe it's because as they get older all the flunkie kids and parents quit playing.   They all get along pretty well.  Burt is also the football coach for the kids a year older than Eric.  That will be good for the future.

This was the funniest thing.  I'm glad I got a picture of it.  Lisa (P) and Eric (1B) making plans in between innings.

David playing on Yankees team.  He is more about talking with the other kids than about playing ball.  We had one of the parents take David to a game and she remarked  "How does David know every kid at the park?"  He does know a lot of people his age and he also knows a lot of siblings from Lisa and Eric.

Can't remember who we played this day but Lisa struck out 5/6 batters.  She throws a lot of strikes.

The kids have been playing a lot of baseball.  It sure is fun watching them play.  Today Lisa received a game ball for pitching a great game in Sandy against West Bountiful.  Coach Eric is so good with the kids.  Both Lisa and Eric made things happen.  They are fun to watch.

Eric throwing the ball back to the pitcher after laying a tag on the runner at third. Eric asked Coach Eric if he could pitch.  The coach answered " Why would I have you pitch when I have a witch on third!"  Now Eric goes around telling everyone he is the Witch on Third.

Eric playing third.  He more than holds his own against all these older kids,

Lisa playing second base against Sandy.

We had to celebrate at Famous Dave's after such a good performance.

Memorial Day

Between baseball, basketball, and football, most of our Saturdays are booked.  So on Memorial day we decided to split.

Roasting hot dogs

We shot the .22 bolt action and .22 pump action a lot this day. Wendy shot her XDS.

The hike was very pretty

David and Daisey have a bond.  It's funny to watch them- Daisey mostly obeys him even though she is twice his size.  It is especially funny when we go on a walk and David takes the leash.  If Daisey wanted to she could pull the leash and drag David down the street.  But she lets him be in charge.
