I was in Salt Lake today and I drove past the Sizzler restaurant that my Dad and I always frequented for lunch. I really miss him. Grandpa Dennis loved Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He would have loved to watch the kids play all their sports. He would love to help Eric and Lisa hit the ball harder. He would have loved to go shooting with them. Wendy and I took the four day defensive handgun class again this year. Grandpa Dennis would have loved to do this with us. I feel fortunate that I was able to spend so much time with him growing up and that we were able to do some of those fun things, but at the same time I wish my kids would have the experience of going shooting with and fishing with their grandpa just like I did with mine. My grandpa had a huge impact on me. And Grandpa Dennis would have been so great with my kids.
It never gets old when I see David or Eric sporting a mustache.
